  • Subacute Subdural Hematoma

Mr G age 94 years male presented with sudden onset of left side weakness with altered sensorium from 3 days. Not a known case of Diabetes , hypertension or other medical illness.

Mri evaluation suggestive of subacute subdural hematoma of 2.5 cm thickness in right frontal parietal temporal occipital with midline shift of 1.5 cm.

Surgery:-

Right frontal temporal parietal minicraniotomy done with evacuation of hematoma with thorough irrigation & hemostatsis with lax duraplasty.

Post surgery patient recoverd from left hemiparesis and conscious oriented and discharged post operative day 8.

Conclusion:-

Age is never a factory to avoid surgery ,correct preparation, correct execution of surgery with good post operative care patient can recover very well.
